FAQs
Do you have tint questions? Let’s get them answered!
MY CAR ALREADY HAS TINT ON THE BACK WINDOWS. SHOULD I STILL TINT OVER THOSE?
Most trucks, SUV’s and vans have a factory tinted glass which is only intended to provide privacy. These factory tinted windows typically do not provide any form of heat rejection. We recommend installing a lighter shade of ceramic film over these windows. This will allow increased comfort without impacting visibility.
WHY SHOULD I TINT MY CAR?
Whether your goal is comfort or aesthetics, window tinting is a simple way to modify your vehicle. Today’s film technology can provide up to 98% heat rejection with a virtually invisible film. This means you no longer need a dark film to stay comfortable or safe, since a quality film will also reject harmful cancer causing UV rays.
WHAT BRAND OF FILM DO YOU USE?
We mostly use AURORA, the most elegant architectural film on the market. ASWF's AURORA series is sure to make a lasting impression. With its unmatched HD clarity and up to 97% Infrared (IR) rejection, and as much as 67% Total Solar Energy Rejected (TSER), and provides a cool and comfortable environment, unlike any window film.
WHAT'S THE DARKEST YOU WILL TINT MY GLASS?

The percent of visible light allowed through your car windows is calledVLT : Visible Light Transmission.
The percentage of light allowed through your film and glass in Utah is very specific and different for sedan cars and SUV cars or vans.
Your windshield can also be tinted down to a 70%, which is virtually invisible but still provides heat rejection when opting for a ceramic film.

HOW LONG DOES OFFICE WINDOW TINTING LAST?
Office window tinting can last between 10 to 15 years or even longer, depending on several factors such as the type of film used, the quality of the installation, and the environmental conditions. Most professional-grade films come with warranties that cover issues like peeling, bubbling, and discoloration, ensuring long-term performance and durability.
The lifespan of window tinting is also affected by the maintenance and care given to the windows. Regular cleaning with a mild, non-abrasive solution and avoiding harsh chemicals can help to maintain the film’s integrity. With the right care and maintenance, office window tinting can last for many years and provide energy efficiency, UV protection, and privacy benefits.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HOME WINDOW TINTING?
Home window tinting offers numerous benefits that improve the comfort, efficiency, and security of your home. One of the most important advantages of window tinting is energy efficiency. By reducing heat gain in the summer months, window tinting can lower the need for air conditioning, resulting in lower energy costs. Window tinting can also protect against harmful UV rays, blocking up to 99% of these rays and preventing furniture, flooring, and artwork from fading.
Window tinting also enhances privacy and security in your home. It can make it more difficult for people outside to see inside your home, giving you more privacy while still allowing natural light to enter. Some window films are designed to hold glass fragments together in the event of a break-in or accident, adding an extra layer of security to your home. In addition, window tinting can reduce glare on screens and monitors, creating a more comfortable viewing experience.
HOW DO I SELECT PROPER WINDOW TINT FOR MY HOME?
Selecting the proper window tint for your home involves considering several key factors to ensure it meets your specific needs. First, determine your primary objective for tinting, such as reducing heat, increasing privacy, or protecting against UV rays, as different tints offer varying levels of performance in these areas. Consider the tint's Visible Light Transmission (VLT) rating, which indicates how much light the tint allows through; lower VLT ratings provide more privacy and greater heat reduction but may darken rooms more. Additionally, look for tints with high UV rejection rates to protect your interior furnishings from fading.
Next, consider the aesthetics and compatibility with your home's existing decor and window style. Tints come in various shades and finishes, so choose one that complements your home's appearance while fulfilling your functional requirements. It's also essential to check the warranty and durability of the tint to ensure long-term performance and peace of mind. Consulting with a professional can provide valuable insights into the best options for your home, ensuring you select a window tint that balances functionality, aesthetics, and budget.
DOES CERAMIC TINT FADE OR CHANGE COLOR OVER TIME?
Ceramic tint is one of the most durable window tinting films available, and it is known for its resistance to fading or color change over time. This is because ceramic tint is made up of nano-ceramic particles that do not break down or degrade when exposed to sunlight, unlike some other types of tinting films. As a result, ceramic tint should maintain its original color and tinting properties for the entire lifespan of the film, providing consistent performance without the risk of turning purple or losing its effectiveness.
The exceptional durability and color stability of ceramic tint make it a popular choice for homeowners looking for a long-lasting window treatment solution. Its resistance to fading is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ensures that the tint will continue to provide UV protection and heat rejection effectively throughout its life. Therefore, ceramic tint often outlasts other types of window tints, making it a reliable and enduring option for both energy efficiency and interior comfort.
