FAQ’s

Do you have tint questions? Let’s get them answered!

MY VEHICLE ALREADY HAS TINT ON THE BACK WINDOWS. sHOULD i STILL INSTALL TINT OVER THOSE?

Most trucks, SUV’s and vans have a factory tinted glass which is only intended to provide privacy. These factory tinted windows typically do not provide any form of heat rejection. We recommend installing a lighter shade of ceramic film over these windows. This will allow increased comfort without impacting visibility.

WHY SHOULD I TINT MY CAR?

Whether your goal is comfort or aesthetics, window tinting is a simple way to modify your  vehicle. Today’s film technology can provide up to 98% heat rejection with a virtually invisible film. This means you no longer need a dark film to stay comfortable or safe, since a quality film will also reject harmful cancer causing UV rays.

WHAT BRAND OF FILM DO YOU USE?

We exclusively offer Nano Ceramic Tint because it's the best performing tint over standard/carbon film. Contact us for details on heat rejection levels and our available shades.

WHAT'S THE DARKEST YOU WILL TINT MY GLASS?

Window tint darkness in Utah

The percent of visible light allowed through your car windows is calledVLT : Visible Light Transmission.

The percentage of light allowed through your film and glass in Utah is very specific and different for sedan cars and SUV cars or vans.

Your windshield can also be tinted down to a 70%, which is virtually invisible but still provides heat rejection when opting for a ceramic film.

Tint darkness for sedans:

  • Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed above the manufacturer’s AS-1 line or top 4 inches.
  • Front Side windows: Must allow more than 35% of light in.
  • Back Side windows: Any darkness can be used.
  • Rear Window: Any darkness can be used.
HOW LONG DOES OFFICE WINDOW TINTING LAST?

High-quality office window tinting can last between 10 to 15 years or even longer, depending on several factors such as the type of film used, the quality of the installation, and the environmental conditions. Most professional-grade films come with warranties that cover issues like peeling, bubbling, and discoloration, ensuring long-term performance and durability.

The longevity of window tinting is also influenced by proper maintenance and care. Regularly cleaning the windows with mild, non-abrasive solutions and avoiding harsh chemicals can help preserve the integrity of the film. With appropriate upkeep, office window tinting can provide lasting benefits in terms of energy efficiency, UV protection, and enhanced privacy.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF HOME WINDOW TINTING?

Home window tinting offers a range of benefits that enhance the comfort, efficiency, and safety of your living space. One of the primary advantages is energy efficiency; window tinting can significantly reduce heat gain during the summer, lowering the need for air conditioning and thus saving on energy bills. By blocking up to 99% of harmful UV rays, window tinting also protects your furniture, flooring, and artwork from fading, extending their lifespan.

Additionally, window tinting improves privacy and security. It makes it more difficult for outsiders to see inside your home, enhancing your privacy without sacrificing natural light. Some window films are designed to hold glass fragments together if the window is broken, providing an extra layer of security against break-ins and accidents. The reduced glare from tinted windows also creates a more comfortable viewing experience for screens and monitors, making your home environment more pleasant overall.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT WINDOW TINT FOR MY HOME?

Choosing the right window tint for your home involves considering several key factors to ensure it meets your specific needs. First, determine your primary objective for tinting, such as reducing heat, increasing privacy, or protecting against UV rays, as different tints offer varying levels of performance in these areas. Consider the tint's Visible Light Transmission (VLT) rating, which indicates how much light the tint allows through; lower VLT ratings provide more privacy and greater heat reduction but may darken rooms more. Additionally, look for tints with high UV rejection rates to protect your interior furnishings from fading.

Next, consider the aesthetics and compatibility with your home's existing decor and window style. Tints come in various shades and finishes, so choose one that complements your home's appearance while fulfilling your functional requirements. It's also essential to check the warranty and durability of the tint to ensure long-term performance and peace of mind. Consulting with a professional can provide valuable insights into the best options for your home, ensuring you select a window tint that balances functionality, aesthetics, and budget.

DOES CERAMIC TINT FADE OR CHANGE COLOR OVER TIME?

Ceramic tint is renowned for its exceptional durability and resistance to fading or discoloration. Unlike traditional dyed or metallic tints, ceramic tint is constructed using nano-ceramic particles that are highly stable and do not degrade when exposed to sunlight. This means that over time, the tint maintains its original color and effectiveness, providing consistent performance without the risk of turning purple or losing its tinting properties.

The longevity and color stability of ceramic tint makes it an attractive option for those seeking a long-lasting window treatment solution. Its resistance to fading is not only an aesthetic benefit but also ensures that the tint continues to offer UV protection and heat rejection effectively throughout its lifespan. As a result, ceramic tint often outlasts other types of tints, providing a reliable and enduring solution for both energy efficiency and interior comfort.
